Catching Up

Haven't posted for a while - no reason, just nothing to write. To catch up, I've been reading some really good books lately. There is one called, Leadershift by Don Cousins. It has some very interesting insights into the ways churches do things. It confronts several leadership "heresies" and the one that caught my eye was the one about organizational heresy. It has been far too easy for the church to become an institution instead of a disciple-making, active body of believers. It causes us to create professional Christians to do the work that the church should be doing any way - because it's easier. Easy isn't always the right way, though - in fact, I don't know when it is.
